Dark silk covered walls in the vestibule make for a very dramatic entrance. The circa 70's stools are by François Monnet, the painting is by Dirk Skreber.
The entrance hall has a custom silk carpet runner. I love the colour of these walls - the magazine mentions that they are covered in a vinyl wallcovering....I've never seen vinyl look this glamorous before!
In the main living area a 50's Edward Wormley sofa covered in an unexpected damask design face a pair of Paul Tuttle armchairs. I adore how Nahem has injected a sense of history into this new apartment. The walnut fluted architraves (not seen in this pic) and built-in cabinetry are a stroke of genius.
Another view of the living room sees an Adnet lamp with a Vladimir Kagan sofa and Nakashima coffee table.
The TV room, which is a little too shagadelic for my taste, has a painting by Richard Prince and pieces by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm.
The master bathroom is just stunning. I love the combination of tiles and stone, timber and metal. Quite masculine looking - but I'd be more than happy to stand in front of that vanity every morning!
